How to Get Here
- Drive your vehicle to North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Get a good night's sleep on the overnight ferry crossing from North Sydney to Port-Aux-Basques, Newfoundland.
- In the morning, drive your vehicle along the South Coast (Rt. 470) to Rose Blanche. This 42 km (26 mile) drive takes approximately 1 hour.
- EITHER our charter boat captain will meet you at the Rose Blanche wharf and will transport you by boat along the scenic South Coast of Newfoundland, roughly 3 hours, to the mouth of the LaPoile River.
- OR the scheduled Coastal Ferry will transport you from the Rose Blanche wharf to the village of LaPoile - 2 hours duration. Then our guides, who live in LaPoile, will meet you at the LaPoile wharf and transport you, 45 minutes by boat, to the mouth of the LaPoile River.
- Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the rugged beauty of this area!
