The Fishing

• The great fishing is due to the remote location of the Lodge and the absense of any other out-fitting camps on the river!
• From mid-June to late July, angling for Atlantic Salmon, "the king of freshwater sportfish", will excite the seasoned flyfisherman and thrill the novice. Feel the strength of a leaping wild Atlantic Salmon fresh from the sea!
• From mid-July through August, wild sea-run brook trout enter the LaPoile from the chilly Atlantic. These fish are eager to fight!
• Many of the guests who stayed with us last year will return again this year. These "regulars" have returned to fish with us every year for the past 25-30 years! Now that's customer satisfaction!
• Regardless of whether you're fishing for salmon or trout, you will enjoy the natural beauty and the peaceful solitude of the LaPoile River valley.
